The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @
Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

~this meme was inspired in part by ~ In My Mailbox~

It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
This is also my weekly recap via Instagram.  It’s mostly the books I got but I take random pictures sometimes too.  Also, make sure you follow me on instagram, I follow back!

Good news, I had a very light book week! Today (Saturday) I am going to the book store though, so we’ll see how that goes. It’s suppose to be for gifts but my friend Sara is bringing me at least one book. Those will go on next weeks post though since I don’t want to wait until the last minute.

Yesterday I posted my August TBR in a vlog if you want to look at that. It’s a huge pile. Ridiculously huge.

My travel blog is up! It’s www.candacestravelblog.com

It’ll be under construction for awhile since my designer can’t work on it until November but I tried to make it somewhat attractive on my own. I would love it if you followed me there. I should add a bloglovin’ button but you can definitely follow by email or RSS.

The one book I got. The Bridge From Me to You by Lisa Schroeder. I LOVED this book! I had preordered it and totally forgot until I got the notification it was on it’s way. Nice surprise!  (Review HERE)

On Tuesday I met up with author Kate Dyer-Seeley at the waterfront park. We did a lot of talking about travel writing and she was such a huge boost of confidence for me! She’s super supportive and super helpful and I have a feeling we’ll be meeting up lots more in the future cause we really hit it off.

You’ll also see an interview with her soon and a vlog where she talks about the PNW and the best locations to visit. Funny story- there was a naked rollblader that went by when doing the video. I didn’t see it but I turned off the camera and she busted up. Of course we didn’t see him again. Weirdness.

One thing discussed was to imagine what we really, really want, like our biggest dream and reach for it. Don’t let self doubt stand in the way. Of course it still requires a lot of hard work and working up the ladder, but to remember to reach for those dreams. So one of my dreams is to be published in a big publication and Sunset is one of the big ones. I bought a copy of the magazine and am getting familiar with the stories and styles of writing, etc. Lots of work to do until I get there, but I’m working toward it!

I almost forgot!!!! I got a new camera! It has 30 x’s zoom. You can see my mountains! So here are some mountain pictures I took this week.
