August TBR- Vlog- It’s Out of Control!!!

I can’t believe how quickly July flew by and here we are in the last month of the summer. I’ve been busy, busy, busy. The kids want to go, go, go and I need to work, work, work but I want to read, write and plan travels. I purchased my domain for my travel blog so hopefully that’ll be up soon. I’m just getting it set up you can find it HERE! I have prepared some pieces already, so I will post those soon should be set to go as soon as the blog is live. It’s very exciting!

On Tuesday I went to the waterfront park and met up with Kate Dyer-Seeley, she’s the author of the mystery Scene of the Climb and has published articles with various publications. She’s been excellent help with the travel writing and has seriously given me the biggest boost of confidence and excitement. She’s just been amazing. I’ll have an interview with her soon and a video for the travel blog where she talks about the best PNW locations.

It’s been hard to read this summer, but I’ve found a few amazing books and I’m hoping it’s going to continue to get easier. Finding time is hard, but sometimes (often) I just don’t connect completely. That makes it hard cause I don’t feel the urge to read.

Anyway, I decided to make a TBR vlog for August (I had to try out my super amazing new camera) and so here you go! (I really need to learn how to edit them so you don’t have to see me walk to and from the camera. Yikes, one more thing to do!)

Update: I finished Shadows by E.C. Blake and it was amazing!

For those who can’t watch the video, here are (most of) the books listed:

Homeroom Diaries (currently half way through)

The Vault of Dreamers

American Blonde

Firebug

Falling Into Place

Finding Ruby Starling

A Million Ways Home

Winterkill

A Little Something Different

Trial By Fire

Little Author in the Big Woods

Hook’s Revenge

Free Agent

Mortal Danger (maybe, considering DNF’ing it)

Siege and Storm

and more that I put on a different shelf. I think. This months TBR is OUT OF CONTROL!

Oh, and added to is NEUROTICA by Eliza Gordon. Starting it now, so excited!

Happy reading and happy August my friends!

  1. Aw! It was so fun to see you as a real person. You’re so stinking cute. Grr.

And yeah, your TBR is outta control. F’real. But I love the Vlog! It’s totally mixing things up.

  2. Okay, my hubs complains about all my ARCs in the house. He’s just most of my books are on the Kindle. What do you do with all your books????

I’m reading Mortal Danger right now and it’s not bad…. so far… we’ll see. Trial by Fire is on my list this month, too!! I’m actually working more August reads than Sept so you’re doing better than me!!

YAY for being live and making the travel blog happen!! I went and looked and I think Mt. Hood is crooked – don’t know how the OCD people don’t explode over there. Great job on the vlog, too :)

    • I keep some, I share some with friends and family, I do a lot of giveaways (I have a big giveaway box) and I donate a lot. I send a big box to the Pine Ridge Reservation when I can and I give books to the schools here. So there are plenty of places for me to donate! I do have a lot of shelves of books though.

Yes, Mt. Hood is crooked, lol. I don’t think we can notice it usually but I zoomed in and also with the roof tops and stuff it’s possible I was slightly crooked. I used a tripod though so it shouldn’t be too far off.

  3. Wow! What a great selection of books! I absolutely loved Falling into Place when I read it a few weeks ago, and I hope you do too. :) I’m also planning on rereading Siege and Storm in preparation for Ruin and Rising.

Hope something here manages to get you out of your slump! Thanks for sharing! <3

  4. Me neither! Where has the summer gone??? I already school shopped for my little one. I can’t believe that school is around the corner and yet I still have more summers reads I didn’t get a chance to get to.
