Wicked Wildfire Read-a-Thon Update Page

This Read-a-Thon is Hosted by: Rebecca @ Kindle Fever, April @ My Shelf Confessions.

As per Rebecca’s Blog, here is the info:

The Wicked Wildfire Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of June 20-24 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!
In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads or Facebook — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress!

One thing I like about read-a-thons is that it’s my chance to take down those books that have been on my shelf for ages and get a few of them read.  Because I like to feel like I’m getting a lot read, I tend to pick YA books and ones that are smaller in size.  It’s hard to know which books I’ll read but here are a few I’m hoping to get to.
I plan to start with Ten Miles Past Normal by Frances O’Roarke Dowell
And then in no particular order I hope to read:
Whisper by Phoebe Kitanidis
My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent
I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You & Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter

Finished Ten Miles Past Normal
Finished I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You

Thursday evening:
I’ve been suffering from an attention disorder.  I’ve read a bit on three different books and am seriously considering picking up another.  I read about 50 pages from Shadow Kin by M.J. Scott, about 15 pages of My Soul to Save and am about halfway through Duplicity by Nikki Jefford.  So I have at least made progress in one of those.   I got Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer in the mail today and am really wanting to start reading it now.  Too many books I’m dying to read!

Friday afternoon:
Finished Duplicity last night.
Started Smart Girls Get What They Want

Not sure if I’ll get much reading done today.  Too much going on.  The weekend will be the same.

Finished Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer
Read first half of Spark by Amy Kathleen Ryan

Read a total of  4 books, though with reading on several others it probably is a total of 5.

Thanks for subscribing!

  1. YAY! I’m so happy you have some of my adorable-favourite books on your list! The Gallagher Girls series because I’ve loved those books since sixth grade and haven’t grown out of them since, and the Soul Screamers series because Rachel Vincent just rocks my socks off with her twists and I LOVE TOD SO MUCH! I really hope you have fun in the read-along and enjoy all of those books, Candace! :) <3
