Feature and Follow Friday

Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read and is a way to hop around and visit lots of different blogs!

I haven’t done a Feature and Follow Friday in AGES!  But since I’m doing it for my collaborative blog, Novels, News and Notes From Your Northwest Neighbors, I figure I might as well do it here as well!

I would love to have you follow in whichever way you prefer, GFC, linky, Networked Blogs, RSS, email and/or twitter.  All links are on my right sidebar.

This weeks question is an activity:
Dreamcast your current read.

I am SO not good at this!  I’m not a big fan of books to movies most of the time and don’t picture actors as characters unless I’ve watched the movie before the book.
My current read is The Sweetest Dark by Shana Abe.  This book is freaking incredible and I’m sure could easily be full of some awesome actors but I have my own people in mind who aren’t real.  And describing them is rather difficult.  I suppose that  Emma Watson could possibly make a good Lora.  As far as the others I really have no idea!  But seriously, this book is AMAZING.

Thanks for subscribing!

  1. I haven’t even heard of this book, maybe because I’ve been hiding from young adult…I know I know…but I needed to graduate from high school for a bit. Now you make me want to go over and grab this book up. I also adore Emma Watson, I don’t know if I’ve seen her in anything besides HP — that might be disturbing.

  2. Never heard of this book so thanks for that. its hard to find the right actors for characters in books but i love this feature..very fun!

  3. Just hopping through!

I struggled to think of castings too! Sometimes there’s just not an actor/actress who perfectly fits your mental image of a character!

    Happy Friday!

  4. I am not good at this game either. I don’t really care for the books to film either, but I admit that I still go see them when they are my faves!

My picks are pretty bad, since the actors I chose played the character I chose them for. It sounds confusing now, but once you read my answer, and my picks and where they are from, you’ll be like oooohhhhh that’s what she meant! 😉

    Here’s my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  5. WHY HAVEN’T I HEARD OF THIS AMAZING BOOK CANDACE?! I need to know all about it immediately. I know if you say it’s good, it’s something I need to get my hands on. Can’t wait!

  6. Thanks for stopping by everyone!
The cover is gorgeous but unfortunately my ARC is an early one and is just plain :( I can’t wait to get my hands on a finished copy!
And it was AMAZING! It’s going on my most favorites list FOR SURE!

  7. LOL that’s okay, Candace, I’m exactly the same way! I’m so bad at putting an actor’s face to a book character on my own because I tend to come up with my own picture of the person and it’s really hard for actual people to live up to my fantasies x) Every time someone creates this uber-cast of the perfect actors, I wonder how they can do that with awe! This book has such a gorgeous cover — if you say it’s amazing, it’s definitely going onto my TBR pile! 😉

Awesome answer, Candace! Emma Watson is just so awesome she can play almost anyone well :) <3

  8. Hi! New linky Follower hopping through.

This is my first time hearing about Sweetest Dark so I couldn’t really imagine any actor who’d be good in a movie adaption. However I do love Emma Watson. She’s a fantastic actress!

    Here’s my FF :)
