In My Mailbox (91)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren and is where we share the books we got through the week.
Okay, I got loads of books and I totally have to not get anymore books for awhile cause things are getting out of hand!
Review:
Unbroken (Outcast Season #4) by Rachel Caine
I haven’t read this series yet.
Undone Deeds (Connor Grey #6) by Mark del Franco
Haven’t read this series yet either.
Library:
Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma
So many people say this is a must read so I’ve had it on hold for me.
Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King
I love this author!  And while I really knew I didn’t need anymore books I couldn’t resist cause I’ve been dying to read this one!
Bright Young Things by Anna Godberson
This book has been on my wishlist since it came out.  When I saw it was in I figured it was about time I picked it up!
Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta
I love fantasy and I’ve heard this one is great!
Gifts/Borrowed:
Radiant Desire by Inara Scott *signed* & with swag
I technically won this one from the author.  It’s an adult paranormal romance and I’m in love with the cover!
Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
This one is loaned to me by Lori at Pure Imagination but she said if she goes to a signing I can keep it.  So I’ll say it’s on loan for now.  And I can’t WAIT to read it!
Bought:
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green *signed*
I couldn’t resist!  And I read it and fell in love.  First book on my favorites list for 2012!
Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler
Total impulse buy.  I’m dying to read it!
The Sweet Scent of Blood (Spellcrackers.com #1) by Suzanne McLeod
I ordered this one last year and it just took forever to get here!
Second Helpings (Jessica Darling #2) by Megan McCafferty
I loved the first one so much I immediately bought the second.
Paperbackswap:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This has been on my wishlist on paperbackswap for years and it finally came in!

Big Thank You to Penguin (ace, roc), Inara Scott, and Lori at Pure Imagination!

  1. OMG–I’m soooo jealous you got the new Rachel Caine! While her Weather Wardens series is my fave, I’ve really enjoyed her Outcast series so far–the main character takes a little time getting used to because she’s so different (she’s a djinn who’s having a hard time being human with emotions and all) but it’s a pretty great urban fantasy, if you like UF!

  2. Fantabulous books this week. I;ve been holding of reading TFiOS because it will be amazing and all other books will be bleh afterwards ;) <3 Book Thief! Happy Reading!

  3. You have lots of great reading ahead of you! I’ve heard such fantastic things about Finnikin of the Rock (I really want to read it!). Congrats on Born Wicked! Jessica Spotswood gave us a little section to post during the Historical Fantasy Jubilee and it was SO good. The romantic interest seems amazing. :)

  4. OMG!! You got Unbroken?! And you haven’t even started the series yet Candace! Oh you must! It’s a wonderful spinoff from the Weather Wardens! So looking forward to this one!

My IMM will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by!

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower :)

  5. I still have to read Forbidden (I think I have it on hold too though!)
And given how many people have gotten The Fault in Our Stars the past week or so I’m *this* close to buying a copy based on the first gushing review I see lol.
    Enjoy all your books !

  6. OMG! yes! Forbidden is absolutely A MUST READ! one of the best book of 2011!! believe me please and read it asap! also, FInnikin of The Rock IS ONE OF THE BEST (if not The BEst) YA FANTASY BOOK EVER WRITTEN!!! PLease read it soon too! Melina Marchetta will blow your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to meet you btw! =) new follower! I actualyl saw you in Mimi’s blog! yay!!!

    Dazzling Reads

  7. Great mailbox! I’m trying to cut back as well, but some books are simply irresistible! I read the first Outcast book and really enjoyed it, so need to catch up if she’s up to #4 already. Enjoy!

    Here’s my IMM.

  8. I really loved Bittersweet, it was just a really cute and fun read and it was one that brought me out of a reading slump because I just really enjoyed reading it! I’ve heard Forbidden is AMAZING, that’s one I’ve had on my list for a really long time and need to make time for:) Awesome mailbox this week Candace!

  9. Bright Young Things is still in my TBR pile – I’ve never read the Luxe series so I’m wondering how it will turn out. You’re so lucky that you got Born Wicked – can’t wait to get a copy. Happy Reading! :)

    My IMM

  10. The Book Thief made me sob. SUCH an amazing, if heartbreaking, read.

And YAY for John Green. I love him and his nerdfighting brother so frickin much. Ditto that the cover for Radiant Desire is gorgeous–I haven’t heard anything about it yet, so I’ll be keeping my eyes posted for your review of it!

    Smiles!
    Lori

  11. Looks like you got some amazing books this week. I need to read Bright Young Things! I enjoyed the Luxe series so I need to get going on her newest series since the first two books are already out.

I loved Forbidden, but then again you know this since I had to email you my ramblings on it. I can’t wait to see what you think. I got my friend to read it and she loved it as much as I did.

I’m interested in seeing how Radiant Desire is because it looks good but hasn’t had that much hype to it.

Basically I’ll just stalk your page like I do all week long waiting for your reviews of all of these books!

    Happy reading!

  12. You had an awesome week!! I think you will love Born Wicked and Second Helpings is even better than the first book! And Forbidden!! I can’t wait to see what you think.
