November of Contemporary! {My To-Read List and Vlog}

In November I plan to read and review mostly contemporary books.  And all are young adult {so far} as well.  I have such a massive pile that when Ashley from Basically Amazing Books and Shanyn from Chick Loves Lit decided to do contemporary in November {they are planning some awesome stuff, so check them out!}  I decided I’d just do it along with them.  I will have a few tours and maybe a few random reviews for books that aren’t contemporary, but I really want to stick with focusing on contemporary and getting through my massive pile I have to read.  So I decided I’d do a video to show you my reading plans for November!
Also, the vlog is now out of date as I did read Vinyl Princess and am currently reading Going Too Far.

  1. You got some great books to read this month! I would suggest The Truth About Forever for your Sarah Dessen book. It’s my favorite book by her by far. And I personally did not enjoy When It Happens, but I have not read Take Me There. And I am a huge fan of Jen Echols, so I hope you love those books.

    Good luck this month! I can’t wait to see what you think of all of these!

  2. Kapri, I’m leaning towards The Truth About Forever for the Sarah Dessen book. Maybe I’ll try Take Me There for my Susane Colasanti book unless people comment otherwise.

  3. I second the vote for The Truth About Forever! I have Just Listen on my shelf, but I haven’t read it. I definitely loved The Truth about Forever though! You can read my review here

    Good luck getting through lots of those books for November! I know how nice it feels to get books off of the TBR shelf :)

  4. ONLY CONTEMPORARY MONTH?! YES!! sign me up please. Contemporary is my favorite & since November is my birthday month, this is PERFECT! I will definitely be joining this:D

    My favorite Dessen book is a tie between The Truth About Forever and Just Listen, This lullaby was just good in my eyes but TTAF and Just Listen were out of the world. I really cannot pick between TTAF and Just Listen so I hope you read BOTH(;

    Going to Far by Jennifer Echols is one of my favorite books EVER so I hope you’re enjoying it! and I can’t wait until I read Love Story by Echols too.

    Virtuosity by Jessica Martinez is an awesome read so I hope you like it and as for Colassanti books I haven’t read neither even though I have had Take Me There for maybe 2 years now. I think you’re motivating me to read it;D

    When I saw you haven’t read 13 reasons why I kind of got happy, I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who haven’t read it!

    I’m glad you posted this, otherwise I wouldn’t have come across this and wouldn’t have participated!

    -thank you&come again.

  5. Wow you are gonna be on busy woman! lol Good luck to you! hehe I love the idea of November being Contemerary month! I also vote for the Truth ABout Forever! I loved Vinyl Princess! I did read Tangled but for the life of me can’t remember what it was about. Thats terrible! But I do know that I liked it! I think…anyhoo hope you can make it through that big pile! If anyone can do it I know you can! :)

  6. *jumps up and down waving arms* You HAVE to read The Truth About Forever, not only is it my favorite Dessen book but it is in my top five favorite books of all time!

    I hope you enjoy your month of contemporary books you have some great ones in that pile. Idk why but I love the name of the author who wrote Girl Wonder lol. :)

  7. Erica, I totally did not even connect you were THAT Erica. The one that WROTE Vintage Veronica! I had to click to your profile. Anyway… so glad you stopped by! (YAY for those google alerts!) So I’m pretty determined I’m going to read it. I haven’t read a single review for it (haven’t looked specifically though) and that makes me want to read it even more so I can love it (hopefully) and then make it my personal mission to tell the world to start reading it!

    Alexa and everyone else, The Truth About Forever is officially on my pile to read soonest {ummm, isn’t that ALL the books? LOL} No, but seriously, I WILL fit that one in!
    And Alexa, I met Alexa Martin and she’s totally AWESOME so yep, you should read the book too ;)

    Ashley (Bookish Brunette), I read and highly enjoyed Going Too Far yesterday. Wrote up my review and it will be up sometime this month… I’ll check out that other book you mentioned :)

  8. Yay I’m so glad you are going to be reading The Truth About Forever soon! I need to re-read that book soon because I do love it.
    I think my library has Girl Wonder, lol I just love her name though. I will check out her book too at some point, hopefully come Dec when I have more time to read.
