I really have a big love for this genre and although I don't read a TON of adult I do have a few favorite series that I keep up with.
First up is Sookie Stackhouse. Each time a new book comes out I'm purchasing it right away! It's like a trip home each time and I think I could read Sookie Stackhouse books forever. Really, they should NEVER end!Book One: Dead Until Dark

Recently I added a new series to my list. Only two books out so far but the third comes out in July. It's the Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. These books are AMAZING! A male MC with a witty sense of humor and some wicked Druid magic. Plus, he can talk to his dog! Now, you can't beat that! This series seriously has me rolling on the floor laughing.Book One: Hounded
Another male MC in a favorite is the Southern Vampires by Raven Hart. This is another series that has me
laughing hysterically. But it's pretty full of graphic horror as well. And it's definitely adult. But it's one series that I wish would go on forever. Unfortunately the series ended on a cliffhanger and although I was assured more books would come I haven't heard any news. Luckily the author reassured me last year that things would work out.Book One: The Vampires Seduction

I have most of those on my shelves waiting for me! Well, except C.E. Murphy and Faith Hunter. I do have most of the Dresden Files though and am thinking I'll have to start them SOON! I'm loving the male MC's though! There's something about them...

ReplyDeleteAnd I adore the Iron Druid series. I fell in love with Atticus and Oberon and I can't get enough. I'm listening to the Audiobook of Hexed and it's pure pleasure. Hilarious.
Like Mary said before you should give Harry Dresden a try. I love this series. It's well heavier and darker than the Kevin Hearne books but Harry is such a great character. And he has a pet skull called Bob which (who?) reads romance novels. <3 I'm dying for the next book.
