Today we have Karen Erickson on for My Favorite Things!

First, a big thank you to Candace for having me! I'm excited to be a part of the My Favorite Things Event. I have so many favorite things, you see, but today I want to take about historical romances...

My first historical romance novella came out Monday with Carina Press. Lessons In Indiscretion is part of The Merry Widow series and, well, I love the idea of a widow finding love again. Or maybe even for the first time. And I especially love it within the confines of a historical setting.



There are just so many rules and expectations and obligations within English society. Heaven forbid you break one rule - you're ruined for life. So I love reading about a couple who goes against all odds and breaks every rule in the book. Or at least bends them in their favor. *wink*



I love writing about them, too. Garrett and Julia in Lessons In Indiscretion both set out to obtain what they want despite what society expects of them. Julia wants a secret affair while Garrett believes he's found the perfect lady to take as his wife -- and she's a widow. Oh, the scandal! I love scandal.
