Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The crew scrambled to their stations, but it seemed to Ai Ling that the Gliding Dragon was stuck in rice glue while the other ship slid on cooking grease. She could see the pirates now, drawing ever closer.

She gripped her clouded pendant and shoved it in his face. "The gods have abandoned me. Abandoned and used me like they did Li Rong." pg. 80
These books are some of my favorite fantasies. Cindy Pon is truly an amazing writer! I definitely recommend picking up Silver Phoenix, the first book in the series, if you haven't already.

Oh this one sounds great! :) I do hope you are enjoying the book. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIf you would like to stop by I have a teaser up as well...

I think I'm going to have to buy this Silver Phoenix on my Nook and get to reading it a bit before the signing on Thursday. I enjoy fantasy, so I have a feeling this series will more than satisfy me.
