Description:
Micah will freely admit that she’s a compulsive liar, but that may be the one honest thing she’ll ever tell you. Over the years she’s duped her classmates, her teachers, and even her parents, and she’s always managed to stay one step ahead of her lies. That is, until her boyfriend dies under brutal circumstances and her dishonesty begins to catch up with her. But is it possible to tell the truth when lying comes as naturally as breathing? Taking readers deep into the psyche of a young woman who will say just about anything to convince them—and herself—that she’s finally come clean, Liar is a bone-chilling thriller that will have readers see-sawing between truths and lies right up to the end. Honestly.
My Thoughts:
Have you ever read a book and you don’t realize that your sleeping (not literally) until something in the book jolts you awake to the point you actually find your mouth hanging open in shock?  That may not be the best analogy, but that’s this book.  Seriously.  Jaw. freaking. dropping.
You don’t really know what’s true cause Micah is a liar.  She promises to tell you the truth, but is she lying about that too?  This book is layers of crazy, you never know what sorts of weird twists it’s going to take, but it takes you on a wild ride, that’s for sure!
Everything you read is important, things you may read in the beginning but don’t think about much come back to you in the end.  It’s all important, pay attention!
Micah is unlike any character I’ve ever read and although I can’t say I relate to her, I did kind of understand some emotions she shared with us, or maybe it was the numbness I felt from her that I could understand.  I’ve lost friends and felt that numbness.  I’ve felt some of the emotions Micah went through and in that way I could relate to her.  But really, she is a strange character and I really loved that.  I love characters that are completely different.
I don’t even know what to say about this book other then you have to read it!  It is so completely different and unlike anything I’ve ever read.  It shocked me out of the reading stupor I was in, that I never even knew I was in!

  1. This book is amazing! When I finished reading it I just wanted to talk to anyone and everyone about it. I loved catching Micah in her little lies where detail was concerned. She’d mix up people’s hair colour etc. Definitely one of the most original books I’ve read.
