Steampunkery- Knicker Teaser's, Tuesday Teaser Double Feature

Once again we have Mad Scientist here helping with Knicker (Teaser) Tuesday! She is sharing her teaser and my teaser is at the bottom.  Both are Steampunkery!

As a Mad Scientist... it is in the job description to light up some beakers with mysterious glowing liquid and create.  Today I am revamping the Tuesday Teaser meme hosted by Lady MizB @ Should Be Reading.  Knicker Teaser is the twisted creation.  I will provide you with Steampunkery Knicker Teasers and Literary Samplings as well.

Today Knicker Teaser is going to be a special delight!  Not only is my creation being presented to you as a Take Over post on Candace's Book Blog for Steampunkery Month but we are going to tease you twice.  Oh my, that sounds delicious.  A teaser from me & one from Candace as well!

Steampunkery Teaser from a Mad Scientist:

Steamed by Katie MacAlister

Around and behind us, people emerged from behind crates, looking with disbelief as I waved the crowbar at him, more or less pushing him back toward his horse, which had stopped at the bottom of the ramp.
"For the love of the heavens!"  Octavia yelled, bursting between two revolutionaries.  "Jack, stop!"

Boneshaker (Sci Fi Essential Books)Steampunkery teaser from Candace:

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest

"You've got to understand," he said.  He shouldered his armor and stuffed his mask up under his arm.  "This is a ... well, let's call it a controlled community.  It's not for everyone, and we like it just fine that way.  But every now and again, someone drops down off an airship or wriggles up from down by the water, wanting to make a change.  People get the idea that there's something valuable in here, and people want to get their fingers in that pie."  He cocked his head at her mask, and at the bag and rifle that were sitting on the table beside her.  "Get your stuff together."

  1. Both of these are on my TBR stack and it sounds like I should move them up. I have two teasers this week. My adult book teaser is from Play of Passion by Nalini Singh and my young adult book teaser is from Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Happy Reading!

I often wonder what it would be like to live in a controlled world.
