Description:
Seven deadly sins. Seven souls that must be saved. One more no-holds-barred battle between Jim Heron, a fallen angel with a hardened heart, and a demon with everything to lose. Isaac Rothe is a black-ops soldier with a dark past and a grim future. The target of an assassin, he finds himself behind bars, his fate in tha hands of his gorgeous public defender, Grier Childe. His hot attraction to her is a totally wrong place—wrong time kind of thing—and that's before Jim Heron tells him his soul is in danger. Caught up in a wicked game with the demon who shadows Jim, Isaac must decide whether the soldier in him can believe that true love is the ultimate weapon against evil....
My Thoughts:
There's something intriguing about Fallen Angels and JR Wards are certainly unique. The other characters in the story, the main characters that aren't Fallen Angel's, were great! Isaac is a typical JR Ward male, he's tough, he's kick-ass and he's got a past that haunts him. In the same manner the female was strong, brazen and unstoppable. I'm not a huge fan of the cat and mouse. The guy thinks he doesn't deserve the perfect female and consistently refuses to allow himself to be with her long term. So they constantly go back and forth. Together and in love, then the guy says that she deserves better and disappears and she's hurt and upset... etc etc. But this one ended up being much better on that angle and not quite as heavy duty on that matter.
In these books Jim Heron has to try to sway the target to good while a demon, Devina, is trying to sway them to bad. Although Jim is suppose to be neutral he's pretty good. I loved Jim and his side kicks in this one. They went through some tough stuff but they stick by each other. I really loved that. They had some really tough stuff to get through but they leaned heavily on eachother.
Like always for JR Ward, the writing is great. The story had some great twists and turns that I didn't expect.
I give this one 4/5 moons.

I never really got into JR Wards Brotherhood books, and I have the first book in her new series, but haven't started that yet. I love the idea though.
