Steampunk Month for November is on!

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate)Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, Book 1)I’ve had this idea in my head for awhile that I would love to do a bunch of Steampunk features one month.  Spotlight Steampunk books, give some Steampunk books away, maybe have some guest posts… and maybe someone would even sponsor a Steampunk jewelery giveaway.
I can’t do it on my own though.  So I’m hoping some authors and some Steampunk fans would be willing to pitch in for Giveaways, Reviews, Guest Posts, etc.
If I get enough interest I’ll have a button made and make it a big event!

UPDATE: It’s on!  I’ve got some guests posts, some giveaways, and some reviews already lined up.  But I need MORE!

Also, I know of many Steampunk Novels, but I’m sure I’m missing a few as well.  So if you could list some of your favorite Steampunk novels in my comments section, that would be awesome!

  1. sounds fun!
I haven’t read it yet, but I know that LEVIATHAN is steampunk. This is actually brilliant, because I haven’t read any steampunk yet but really really want to! Awesome idea :P

  2. Oh yeah, Leviathan has been on my WL forever!

I’ve read some Steampunk but not even close to everything I want to! A month of Steampunk would really push me to get some of them read!

  3. Have you asked any of the authors if they are willing to be interviewed and do a giveaway? Or the publishers, sometimes they willing to give books or swag.

I don’t know a lot of steampunk, the ones you have listed are the only ones I am aware of since I just learned this is a genre..lol

  4. I haven’t read much Steampuck, though I’ve been meaning to. I can think of one though, Incarceron and the sequel Sapphique by Catherine Fisher. If I read a steampunk, I’d love to do a guest post!

  5. Well, I declare. What a brilliant idea! Perhaps, I will have to make some tea and debate over the possibility over other steampunkery books.

    *Debates*

    Steamed by Katie MacAlister
    Steampunk by Ann VanderMeer
    Whitechapel Gods by SM Peters
    Clockwork Heart by Dru Pagliassotti
    The Somnambulist by Jonathan Barnes
The Scar & Un Lun Dun by China Mieville
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemem (can’t think of author right now.)
The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau
    Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

    Just a few suggustions.

I’m in, steampunk will make for a interesting theme. I’d like to see how others feel about the growing genre.

  6. Hi!! I’m doing a Steampunk Challenge for the next year and would LOVE to help out with this for the next month… I’ve written a “just what is steampunk” post already and plan to read at least one, if not more, steampunk this month.

Feel free to email me (kat.shakespeare@gmail.com) and check out my blog. I’d love to help in any way I can!
