I recycle all the time and I try to not use as much water and electricity as I usually do!
ReplyDeleteGreat contest Candace!
ReplyDeleteOn Earth day, my family and me try not to drive anywhere. So those dusty bicycles see life outside of the shed for once :D
I entered above. On Earth Day, I will not drive my car. I already recycle and watch how much hot water I use. Imagine is nobody drove their car on Earth Day.

On Earth Day I usually go hiking and rock climbing in celebration (it is a local Earth Day event every year)
ReplyDeleteI recycle newspaper and plastic bottles. I cut down on excess water usage and on heat and air.

On earth day, I walk if the distance is not too far. I change light bulbs that haven't been changed. Use less electricity. Get a tune up on my car.
ReplyDeleteWell I don't just do this everyday but my family and I recycle every bottle of water use
ReplyDeleteYear around my boyfriend, me, and my family carpool on shopping trips =) I've never been to the mall without carpooling with someone else that needs to go. We also recycle cans, plastic bags, glass bottles and newspapers. Every light bulb in my home is a CFL energy saving light.
ReplyDeleteOn Earth Day, I enjoy planting new flowers in my garden. Nothing like spending time outdoors and digging in fresh soil!
A lot of recycling and whenever I don't want anything anymore, I try to give it away or donate it rather than tossing it.
ReplyDeleteWe use the Reusable shopping bags to go grocery shopping, I hate using regular plastic bags.
ReplyDeletewe try not to use lights.
ReplyDeleteFor Earth Day we usually try and do some planting.
ReplyDeleteI use reusable shopping bags.
ReplyDeleteI always recycle (:
ReplyDeleteWe don't do much for Earth Day, but for as long as I can remember, my mom, sister, and I have recycled.

On the form, I can't see how many entries the Twitter one is (following you and tweeting about the contest). So my total entries at the end might be wrong. For some reason, I can't see the right side of the form.
ReplyDeleteJust letting you know. :)
Thanks,
Kelsey

On Earth Day I usually attend the special events at my kid’s schools. This year it will be a picnic with my daughter that is in pre-k. I try to be as “green” as possible all year. We recycle, walk when we can, conserve water and electricity as much as possible with a family of five. and by earth friendly products (organic, HE, made from recycled products, and reusable shopping bags).
ReplyDeleteI'm an ESL teacher and me and my kids are doing an earth day campaign and having some activities on recess!
ReplyDeleteDude, I swear my family is the greenest family in the sorta-Southern-part of the US. WE recycle, compost, eat healthy...just about everything you can do while still wearing deodorant.
ReplyDeleteWere pretty green all the time, but for earthday I plan on taking my kids for a nature walk and talking about why we recylce, use cloth bags, etc.
ReplyDeletei try not to litter and when I had water at school, I used a water bottle

I try really hard to recycle! At work I try to re-use copies that weren't supposed to be made as scrap paper. I love how my library got rid of plastic bags and now you must bring your own bag. What a good trend to start:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway!

Today, I walked and took the transit instead of driving :) Also! I wore natural clothing. I love Earth Day!

I am a big recycler and try to harass everyone else around me to join in as well :)
ReplyDeleteKatelyn (The Bookshelf Sophisticate)
I started using reusable grocery totes and energy efficient light bulbs.
ReplyDeleteFor earth day I kept the TV off and used public transportation!
ReplyDeleteWe recycle anything we can and we use reusable shopping bags.
ReplyDeleteI write a blog about all the ways we can live green. I also recycle, reuse (everything ... in weird and unusual ways), only use reusable bags when shopping, buy in bulk, turn off all electricity when not in use (even turn off the water heater except for about an hour every few days), use CFLs and LEDs, compost and grow vegetables, take short showers, use "left-over" water to water plants, sweep instead of using a leaf blower to clear the patio, walk instead of drive whenever possible ... oh the list goes on! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting a giveaway ... I'm glad to have found your excellent blog! :)

Every year, on Earth Day, my family and I add a tree to the edge of our yard. It's something my aunt started us on. We've got the 'Raise the bar' AT&T thing going on back there. ;) Then, we add fresh herbs and vegetable to the garden. It not only saves us a little moolah, it helps the environment because it's that much less gas and carbon emissions in the shipping of produce that we buy and our trip to the store to get it. Every little bit helps.

I can't see any form to fill out... Maybe it's my server?
ReplyDeleteAnyways I'm following.
To help the environment we pick up litter, recycle, compost, grow some fruits and vegetables, use re-usable bags and re-usable water bottles and walk when possible. Thanks for the giveaway. mybabyappleseed(at)yahoo(dot)ca
